best friend

best friend
oday I found a friend,
Who knew everything I felt.
She knew my every weakness,
And the problems I've been dealt.

She understood my wonders,
And listened to my dreams.
She listened to how I felt about life and love,
And knew what it all means.

Not once did she interrupt me,
Or tell me I was wrong.
She understood what I was going through,
And promised she'd stay long

I reached out to this friend
To show her that i care
To pull her close and let her know
How much I need her there

I went to hold her hand
To pull her a bit nearer
And realized that this perfect friend I found
Was nothing but my mirror.

love you star

love you star
The presence of you
keeps me up in the night.
I don?t know what to do
when you?re out of my sight.

My life is a bore.
I long for your touch.
I can tell you for sure
that I want you so much.

Love me like you
never loved before.

Come with me.
It?s easy to see
that we both need that thing
like a bird with one wing.

We could fly
and time would pass by.
As we reach for the shore,
I will want you much more.

Love me like you
never loved before.

Skin on skin,
the fire within,
your body is mine,
your look is divine.

The night is still young,
with your name on my tongue,
though nothing me harms,
I will die in your arms.

Love me like you
never loved before.

And the why:

When you can?t have the one that you want, the dream might keep you from going under. And if your dream finally comes true, then there is nothing left to fear. That?s what this poem is about and I would like to share it with millions of dreamers.

I am from an endless supply of applesauce

I am from an endless supply of applesauce
I am from an endless supply of applesauce
From cluttered counters and piles of photo books
I am from the once lot up the street from the synagogue
That smells like football players and tastes like frozen milk
I am from the Lavender plants that have grown so large
The old oak tree and red buds
Whose long gone limbs I remember
As if they were my own

I?m from Hilton Head vacations and bickering brothers
From Grandma and Grandpa
I?m from winter football games and putting fingers in my mouth
And from teeth that always seem to have something wrong

I?m from ?Don?t make a mess? and ?I love you?
And from ?Work hard, make me proud, and do your best?
I?m from waking up hours before the sun on Christmas
I?m from Kentucky and Scotland
Pancakes on Saturday and Joe Bolognas? after church every Sunday
From always having a smile
Through thick and thin
From the memories I will never forget
That will always have a place in my heart
Also the end of the first paragraph should be italicized. But this website won't let me do that. I do not own this in anyway, shape or, form.

1If you're writing at home, not on a test in a classroom, you can learn a little bit about the poet. While the poet's personal life may not add to your essay, you can find out whether the poet's style was typical of his time or whether it was part of a new style. You can learn if this poem is typical for the poet in its content and format. You might be able to work in these ideas as you write.
